Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader. This week’s topic is Inspirational/ Thought-Provoking Book Quotes. I have plenty of quotes highlighted in both my hard copy books and my eBooks – in fact, I even have one of these quotes as wall art in my house.

  1. “Not all those who wander are lost” – The Fellowship of the Ring by JRR Tolkien
  2. “Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light” – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling
  3. “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?” – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling
  4. “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live” – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by JK Rowling
  5. “My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.” – The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
  6. “You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world… but you do have some say in who hurts you.” – The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
  7. “Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.” (Not mathematically correct, but a nice sentiment) – The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
  8. “We accept the love we think we deserve” – Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
  9. “Open your eyes and see what you can with them before they close forever.” – All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
