Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader. This week’s topic is: Books to Pull You Out of a Reading Slump.
- The Martian. I’ve seriously reread this book at least five full times. I can’t get over how phenomenal it is, and I find something new to love about it every time I reread it.
- Fangirl. Reading this book is like Sunday morning with a cozy duvet and a fresh cup of coffee. It’s cozy, nice, and lovely. I just love how cute the characters are and I seem to come back to reading about them over and over.
- Anna and the French Kiss. Another easy reread. It’s super cute, it’s got some serious reread value, and I’ve read it at least fifteen times and I’ve yet to get tired of it.
- Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. This is always such a quick read for me. It grips me each time and it’s so, so well written. Nothing like a classic to snap you out of a reading slump.
- Lola and the Boy Next Door. Another great Stephanie Perkins romance. It’s insanely cute, and awkward in the way that only nerds in love can be.
- The Hunger Games. This book started a whole sub-genre frenzy. I don’t reread this book as much as I should, but when I do, I remember why I love it so much.
- The Fault in Our Stars. If I want an emotional read, then I turn to this one. I cry every time.
- Night World by LJ Smith. Any of the nine released Night World books is a good way to try out original fantasy books.
- When in Rome by CJ Duggan. A great, cheap eBook that will get any reader hooked on New Adult.
- The Royal We. After the royal wedding, this one way a fun reread that snapped me out of a brief reading slump.

I hope they help!
The Hunger Games is one of the series that I’ve read both in Spanish and English.
I keep hearing good things about Fangirl, I’ll have to read it one day.
Does the translation differ much? I’ve always been curious about book translations
The Hunger Games and Fangirl are such good reads!! Haven’t heard of the last three but I’ll definitely check them out!
I would definitely recommend them!
There’s some of these I def need to check out and some that gave me so much I inspo. Kind of want to start reading harry potty again now lol
Haven’t heard of some of these before, so I need to buy them! Fan girl sounds great, I’m currently reading Harry Potter since I love the series !
Some eclectic options there. Have to confess that I have watched the movie of the Martian but have yet to read the book. Is there a greater sin for a bookworm? Thought it was great though. And for being essentially a survivalist story, it’s very funny. Will have to check it out!
