Top Ten Tuesday: Books with fall vibes

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader. This week’s topic is Book Covers with Fall Colors/Vibes. To me, fall colors and vibes are warm colors, black, and halloween related things. Basically, think a Michaels store in October, and that’s the vibe I’ve chosen.

Untitled design (13)

  • Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir – I’m not sure why this one makes me think of fall, but it has autumn vibes
  • Bookish and the Beast by Ashley Poston – This one is mostly because it’s orange and that’s officially the color of fall
  • Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson – Sorcerers.
  • Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts – This is a super unique take on zombies – and what’s more halloween than zombies
  • Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman – Angels and Devils and demons – very spooky

Untitled design (14)

  • Supernova by Marissa Meyer – Who doesn’t want to dress up like a superhero at halloween
  • The Cruel Prince by Holly Black – It’s the barren branches – makes me think of late fall
  • Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer – Twilight books demand to be read in the fall in the rain with some coffee
  • You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn – The hay field on the cover makes me think of the harvest
  • Pumpkinheads by Faith Erin Hicks – This one doesn’t need explaining

  2. Awww! Bookish and the Beast is such a fun choice. It not only has those autumn-y vibes, but I feel like the Beauty and the Beast fairy-tale is always a fall story. 🙂

  3. I haven’t thought about Dark Inside for years, I really need to re-read that! I also feel I should finally buy Pumpkinheads this month, it’s the perfect time to read it.

  4. Good Omens was such a great story, too. Have you seen the miniseries based on it? I highly recommend it if you haven’t.

    My post.

  5. I’m surprised by some of your choices, mostly because *I* don’t get fallish vibes from them. Of course, that absolutely doesn’t mean that YOU don’t see it–that’s the beauty of such lists, after all! LOVE your choices, regardless–awesome post!
