Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader. This week’s topic is Books for My Younger Self. To me, this prompt is books that I would have loved to read when I was younger. Honestly, YA is having a golden time for high quality books right now. When I was a teen, it felt like my options were the Gossip Girl books and Sarah Dessen.

Totally agree! I feel like I missed out on so much quality YA when I was still in the “YA” age category. At least I know my Little gets to grow up with more diverse lit (that’s something I guess).
Great books here! It’s hard to pick a favorite. Fangirl? The Cruel Prince?
I had a hell of a time just getting this list to ten!
I feel like there was a decent amount of good YA when I was a teenager but then I think I was lucky that I was a teenager during the big Hunger Games/Twilight YA boom.

Sadie is a great pick.
My post .
I wish so many fantasy books would have been around when I was a kid and liked to read that genre.
I would have loved a lot of these when I was a kid. I figure if I loved Red, White and Royal Blue as much as I did now, how much more I would have appreciated it when I was younger and had friends I knew were going through similar crises. Maybe I could have helped them better. Maybe this book wouldn’t have made them feel so alone. Great list!
Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday post.
So many of the lists this week have featured books on my TBR list, which just goes to show that children’s and YA books are great for all ages.
