Book Week Round Up

This week, I explored a new area of my city. During that exploration I found what might possibly be my new favorite bookstore. It’s a massive converted bowling alley that they’ve stuffed to the gills with books. I love old buildings that get refitted for something totally different than their original purpose. Since I have zero self control, I went a little wild in the store’s bargain section and came out with these gems. I got Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda, The Darkest Minds, Caraval, and Everything, Everything. I’ve been dying to read Simon and Everything, Everything for a long time now, and it seems like Caraval is a pretty hyped book in the book review world. The Darkest Minds was an impulse buy because of the movie (but given the Rotten Tomatoes score, I will probably not be seeing it). I can’t wait to dive into these books and let you know what I think!

  3. I saw The Darkest Minds movie yesterday. It wasn’t that bad. I mean, the book was way better, but the movie was still okay. There were a few changes I didn’t like, though.

  4. Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda and everything, everything are really enjoyable to read! I’ve heard good stuff about Caraval so much but haven’t picked it up. Maybe putting it on my tbr would help me get my hands on it quicker haha!
