Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader. This week’s topic is Books I LOVED with Fewer than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads. I’m gonna modify this one for me – I’m going to make a list of books with less than 10,000 ratings on Goodreads. I really love this category – I have plenty of books that I’ve loved that I’m just shocked haven’t caught more people’s eyes. There’s something super satisfying finding a hidden gem and getting to recommend it to all of your friends.
- Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas
- The Emerald Talisman by Brenda Pandos
- Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts
- Wildefire by Karsten Knight
- Cryer’s Cross by Lisa McMann
- Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel
- Salt by Maurice Gee
- No Safety in Numbers by Dayna Lorentz
- Lost Girls by Anne Kelley
- Choker by Elizabeth Woods

Thanks for sharing, which of these would you recommend reading first?
The Walt Disney biography, hands down. Even if you’re not much of a Disney fan, his history is very interesting
That’s such a good idea to do a list of books under 10,000 ratings. That Walt Disney one sounds fascinating!
I’ve not heard of any of these I’ll have to look into them. Thanks for sharing your list.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve not read any of those books.
Great new books to read.
I am completely ignorant of all of these – thanx for the info
Great list!
Cryer’s Cross was SO CREEPY. I read McMan’s Wake trilogy and loved it so I moved onto this one. I usually don’t read horror and it totally scared me. But I haven’t met very many people who’ve read it!
I was surprised too in putting my list together how many books I loved had relatively few ratings! And I definitely want to read No Safety In Numbers! I remember seeing that one at the bookstore and thinking it looked really fun, but I never ended up getting it…
Cryer’s Cross? Seriously? I think teens must use Goodreads. That book has been out for years and is so exciting. Thanks for the recommendations. Here is my list of good but low-review books on Goodreads
Choker! I enjoyed that book. I’m surprised it doesn’t have higher ratings.
Love the story of Walt Disney even though I’m not into the theme parks, I added They Drew As They Pleased to my list, it’s the golden age of Disney artists and their work as they created all of the Disney stories.
I’m into micro-histories and should get to Salt soon.
My Top Ten list

Thanks for sharing. These were all new to me.
Oooh, I never read any of those before. What would you recommend for someone who likes fantasy or sci-fi?
I’ve not heard of any of these, but I’m going to be checking a few of them out now.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
That Walt Disney book sure caught my eye.
My Top Ten Tuesday post.
All new to me! I am enjoying this week’s theme.
These are all new to me. I love the theme this week because I’ve been learning about so many books.
These are all new to me, and I’m particularly interested in reading the Walt Disney biography you included.
Even going up to 10,000 ratings you’ve found some hidden gems! I think I’ve heard of Salt but the other ones are new to me.
Ok YEP need to pick up that Disney biography!!
I am loving this week’s Top Ten Tuesday post. There are so many new books I’m discovering!
I’m always looking for new book recommendations so this is so helpful – thank you! x
